Replacement Toilet Lids and Seats - MobiLoo - the toilet designed by and for disabled people - This Old Toilet 800-658-4521
A new mobile toilet facility designed for those living with a disability is set to be launched in Northern Ireland next month.
The "MobiLoo" is designed by the Centre for Independent Living NI, an organisation run by and for disabled people.
Operated by the charity Disability Pride, the MobiLoo has all of the equipment you would find in a disable toilet; a height adjustable adult sized changing bench, an electronic hoist, as well as a toilet with grab rails either side and a sink.
The toilet is built in a van and is designed to be used at outdoor events to provide a dignified and clean space for those with additional needs to use a toilet.
On the February 7, three MobiLoo units will be launched at Windsor Park in Belfast.
Speaking to Belfast Live, Michael Holden MBE, chairman of the Centre for Independent Living NI, said the MobiLoo would be ideal for Northern Ireland's outdoor events, such as the North West 200 or St Patrick's Day festivities.
He said: "Understanding the need for accessible toilets for disabled people cannot be underestimated.
"So many outdoor activities are restricted to me as a person and my family as we depend on access to toilets, just like everyone else.
